Each summer we look for a place in the shade,
to set up our stand and sell lemonade,
The cupcakes and strawberries, look so pretty and nice,
a homemade sign to tell the price.
A drink for a quarter, a dime or even a nickel, it doesn't matter at all,
In return, you'll see little smiling faces for the change in the cup is getting so tall!
With lots of sugar that makes it oh, so sweet,
along with the bake goods we have to eat.
A timeless tradition to quench your thirst,
from the heat of the day when we feel our worst,
So with our last customer gone, we’ll put all our things away And go out to enjoy some other childhood play!
I must confess, this event has allowed my inner child to surface through classic summer traditions, born by a late night basement concoction of a crackled yellow and white wooden stand. I admit, a lot of hard work went along with the preparations but in the end there are some pretty adorable kiddos that took part in this day and that makes me happy! So enough with my rambling, now onto the pictures.
First up, is Hannah!
Love the belly laughter in this shot!
Then she had a case of the silly's! ha!
Katina, Anika, Samona & Chyna came dressed in pretty, sunny yellows, bright pinks and a favorite of mine ...bare feet!
I don't think she could get any cuter!
Sisters!
A favorite from the day!
And our smallest "little" ...Baby Zander in his overalls! (Watch the blog, there will be more of this little guy soon.)
Then meet Ally ...Ahhh, those eyes!
Adorable bare feet!
So precious!!! More sweets for the sweets!
Thanks to all of you who participated!
