MTH Photography by Molly Davis
…Moments, Treasures & Heirlooms
With MTH Photography we like to capture moments that freeze a certain age, milestone or event that you hold most precious to you. My goal is to provide the best images that can be made for your family. Many times the un-posed, outtakes are some of the best photos and become favorites of my clients. So during each session, I like to have some “posed” images as well as “real life, in the moment” shots. With young children, I understand many times we have to work on their time table and during our portrait session, that’s just what I do. If they need a break from picture taking, I’ll focus on another subject and let the child have a break to play. Many times this is when I get “the shot”, when they aren’t expecting it.
Newborn Photography takes a little longer than a traditional portrait session due to feedings, soothing and napping of the baby. In general, newborn sessions can take 2-3 hours. If you choose to have your newborn session taken in my home where I have a studio set up for newborn photography, my ultimate goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. You can be right with your baby the entire time or relax in the comfort of my living room, while photographing your little one! Truly, I want you to feel at ease during your session…The option is yours. In photographing newborns, I have found that it is best to schedule their session within the first 14 days of life. In most cases, at this age we are still able to capture that sweet, sleepy, newborn stage. I will have blankets, baskets and other props available to use. Many times, the most precious pictures of newborns are the ones that are the simplest...Maybe just there sweet little body wrapped in a blanket. However, if you have a special gift, outfit or any other item that you would like to include, please feel free to bring it to personalized your session.
After each session, I will edit each individual picture and have them available for online viewing within 14 days. I will send you a link to view your awaited images. After each session, you and/or your family will be featured on MTH Photography’s blog with some or all images from your session.
